Christmas and New Year 2009

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys! My Christmas & New Year here in UAE was not so happy compared last year. *sigh* I’m not with my loved ones but what will I do life must go on. In the 24th eve all Christian employees went to the Fujairah Church to hear the gospel of the priest in the season of love which is the birth of our Christ. In the church you can saw different nationality but most of them are Filipinos and Indians. When I saw our Indian sisters whew I’m so amazed of their dresses and gold accessories as my Indian friend told me that when they will go to church they wear their very elegant dresses.

As the ceremony continues I feel that I’m alone where I’m surrounded with the strange people and only God and I. I have already a teary eye when the ceremony starts and as we sang the Our Father I didn’t control it anymore and I started to cry as the song finished not only me crying my co-employee also have a teary eye *sigh* how we miss our loved ones back home.

After the mass as we arrived in the compound I opened my laptop and go online to greet my loved ones a Merry Christmas. We have a small party also we exchange gifts, we prepare foods and drinks. As the party finished we chatted with my fiancée, again I cried *sigh* I really miss him so much even though we chat everyday but that day it’s a very special day but too bad we’re too apart.

Welcoming the year 2009 for me it’s an ordinary day and quiet busy because I’m in graveyard duty that time. We have a Gala Dinner to our in house guest, we did raffle promo for them and the Filipino band is there to entertain our guest. The party turns at well all guests are very happy celebrating their New Year. I just hope and pray that this year we have an abundant year in the year of the Ox.

Today is the very special day of my fiancée it’s his birthday *sigh* I’m not with him. But anyways we still communicate with each other long distance relationship, it’s not easy but we need to be strong enough. I know God challenge both of us in this situation that we’re too apart from each other. As long as we believe in God and to our love we can manage our relationship for better and still growing strong. I really miss him so much huhuhu, to my Pre I wish you all the best in life. We just keep dreaming Pre for our future and aim high! Luv u ako Pre! Mwah! C yah soon!

We chatted with Jen about Christmas party they have Christmas party in their company, I told her good for you. She told me it’s a red carpet held in Grand Caprice Hotel, wow bongga! I told her you should wear a nice gown that day, actually their party will be this coming 20. And she told me yes of course me pa! hehe. I told her you will present a dance? Because every time we have party or we went to disco before, always this friend of mine show her talent in dancing or even singing. She told me yes with a group we will present some dance, hehe I told her I know you pa always present. She gave me a link in youtube about Chelsea and Mark the bleeding love dance. Jen told me that song and even the dance we will present. When I opened it I’m star struck when I saw the video, two thumbs up with it! As in the video the way they interpret the dance wow perfect! 2nd Birthday of my Niece

Yesterday 15th of December my niece celebrating her 2nd birthday too bad for me I’m not there with her to her special day. I really miss my niece, when I left from there she’s only 1 year and 4 months old that time. For the months that I’m not with her I know I miss something new about her. Her first baby talk, first dance and a lot more. My fiancée and my friend Jen (her godmother) went there to greet and joined baby Anne to her special day. I just saw baby Anne her pictures and thanks to Jen for the pictures. Because I told her before, when you go there bring your digicam and take some snapshots with my niece. To my fiancée thanks for the video and for being there together with my family. I miss you guys!!! C yah soon!

Eid Mubarak

The three days celebration for our Muslim brothers is over the EID Al Adha celebrated on the 8th – 10th of December. EID Al Adha means the Festival of Sacrifice, all I know to this celebration all Muslims attend morning prayers at the mosques. They make small sacrifices and follow Allah’s commands obediently. It’s a four days holiday here in UAE because of this celebration, some families bond each other went to the beach do camping to get together. After performing the EID prayers Muslims greet each other EID Mubarak! EID Mubarak means “you may enjoy a blessed festival”. All of us greet our Muslim brothers EID Mubarak and some of them gave us money for greeting them. For all the Muslims EID Mubarak! This e-card is for you!

Snow in the UAE

Yes you read it right snow in the UAE, last Saturday we went to supermarket to buy something goods for us. When we step out to the supermarket its start raining, we immediately ran and put the goods we bought to the taxi. Now I know not only Philippines having floods in the street when it rains also here in UAE. Some area of Khorfakkan we saw stuck-up waters as we passed by, maybe because they don’t have drainage. When we arrived to our room I saw something white balls in the floor together with the rain. I told them look what is that a styrofoam? One of my colleagues went outside and touches the small white ball and when she touched it the ball became water. She jumped out for joy and said to us it’s a snow! And all of us went outside to touch the snow, it’s my first time to saw a snow and it happened here in the desert area which is UAE unbelievable right?
